Europe Weeks
Europe Week 2019
On May 10, M.A. EUS celebrated Europe Day. Students participated in the lecture "The European Union as a Normative Power in Post-Conflict Societies" by Edward Moxon Browne, from the University of Limerick. Later, they organized an information stand with posters and games, where students and visitors had the opportunity to share their thoughts about Europe and the EU.
Europe Week 2018
EUS students had the chance to participate in events organised by the university, the European studies office or students themselves. The events included workshops, discussions with representatives from international and national organisations such as United Nations, European Center for Minority Issues and European Parliament.
Another highlight of this year’s Europe Week was the interactive Mini Model EU. Here, students became country delegates and represented their position in the EU negotiation talks about independence movements.

Europe Week 2017
On May 9, Master European Studies celebrated Europe Day. EUS students organized an information stand and were happy to share their expertise with interactive posters and an EU quiz. Furthermore, students and visitors were offered self-baked cookies and had the opportunity to paint their thoughts about Europe and the EU on canvases which are now displayed in the Dublin building of the university.
Europe Week 2016
On May 9, EUS students decided to commemorate Europe day with cookies, while trying to figure out what the EU means to people in Flensburg.
They asked mainly students on campus which word they associate with the EU. Those who agreed to participate received tasty EU style cookies or cupcakes in return. Among the most popular notions were words such as peace, democracy and freedom.
