On March 16th, Dr. Knut Roder, Senior Lecturer at the Sheffield Hallam University, held a lecture on the topic: "BrExit or Not: The EU and Great Britain". The event took place at the European Academy Sankelmark. Approximately 40 participants were present, including the Town President of Flensburg, Swetlana Krätzschmar. The European Academy and EUS are increasingly engaged in cooperating on the promotion and discussion of European matters.
Considering the upcoming referendum in the UK on June 23rd, Dr. Roder gave an excellent insight to the current situation in Great Britain, as well as the consequences a BrExit would have for the country itself and for the EU as a whole. The lecture was followed by an exciting and lively discussion on whether a UK exit would mark the beginning of the dissolution of the European family.
